The GMO-free Gluten-free Weight Loss Solution

This book has carefully outlined the potential dangers of GMOs in both the short- and long-term. It is one thing to know which foods are GMO and not eat them, but quite another to live in a world where GMO foods are everywhere, obscuring our food choices.

Making the smart food choice to not consume GMOs will help prevent both acute and chronic health problems, including diabetes, intestinal issues and cancers. Not purchasing GMOs will also send an important message to the GMO seed manufacturers such as Monsanto that the public does not want to unwittingly consume foods as part of an uncontrolled scientific experiment.

Day 1

Breakfast:       Poached Eggs over Steam Sauté Baby Spinach

Lunch:            Fresh Vegetable Soup & Quartered Artichokes

Snack:             Carrot Sticks with Hummus & Roasted Sunflower Seeds

Dinner:           Hearty Chicken Stew & Radicchio-Arugula Salad

Day 2

Breakfast:       Cinnamon Quinoa with Almond Milk

Lunch:             Black Beluga Bean Lentils with Roasted Rutabaga-Kale Salad

Snack:             Celery Sticks with Guacamole and Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Dinner:  Lemon-Pepper Baked Halibut, Steam Sauté Swiss Chard & Endive-Beet Salad

Snack:             Sliced Green Apple with Cinnamon

 

Day 3

Breakfast:       Nonfat Organic Greek Yogurt with Fresh Blueberries

Lunch:            Black Bean Salad with Chopped Cilantro & Fresh Vegetable Soup

Dinner:  Sesame Mahi Mahi with Steamed Sautéd Broccoli Florets & Baby Spinach Salad

Lunch:            Chickpea Wrap & Avocado-Kale Salad

Snack:             String Beans with Guacamole & Roasted Pecans

Snack:             Naval Orange

 

Day 5

Breakfast:       Green Super Smoothie with Optional Protein Powder

Lunch:            Petite French Rosemary Lentils & Hearts of Romaine-Toasted Pine Nuts Salad

Snack:             Celery Sticks with Baba Ganoush & Sliced Almonds

Dinner:           Grass Fed Beef Chili and Endive-Beet Salad

Snack:             Sliced Red Apple with Cinnamon

 

Day 6

Breakfast:       Parsley-Scallion Omelet

Lunch:            Quinoa Taboule Salad & Fresh Vegetable Soup

Snack:             Red Pepper Slices with Hummus & Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Dinner:           Garlic Wild Rice & Beans over Steam Sauté Swiss Chard & Arugula-Tomato Salad

Snack:             Black Grapes

 

Day 7

Breakfast:       Nonfat Organic Greek Yogurt with Fresh Strawberries

Lunch:            Chickpea Salad & Fresh Vegetable Soup

Snack:             Zucchini Slices with Guacamole & Roasted Pecans

Dinner:           Grilled Cod with Spaghetti Squash & Finely Chopped Vegetable Salad

Snack:             Sliced Pear

 

Day 8

Breakfast:       Green Super Smoothie with Optional Protein Powder

Lunch:            Garbanzo Bean Delight & Fresh Vegetable Soup

Snack:             Cucumber Slices with Hummus & Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Dinner:           Gingered Wild Salmon with Steam Sauté Broccoli Florets & Avocado-Kale Salad

Snack:             Pink Grapefruit

 

Day 9

Breakfast:       Poached Eggs over Steam Sauté Baby Spinach

Lunch:            Sunflower Wild Rice & Fresh Zucchini Salad

Day 10

Breakfast:       Gluten-free Steel Cut Oats with Fresh Blueberries

Lunch:            Aduki Bean Wrap & Fresh Vegetable Soup

Snack:             Cherry Tomatoes & Roasted Walnuts

Dinner:           Lemon-Pepper Baked Halibut with Asparagus & Baby Spinach Salad

Snack:             Sliced Green Apple with Cinnamon

 

Sample Recipes

 Parsley-Scallion Omelet

3 fresh organic eggs

1/4 cup organic flat leaf parsley, chopped

1/4 cup organic scallions, chopped

Pinch turmeric and pink salt

Place eggs into medium bowl and whisk for 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients and whisk for a few seconds. Heat 1 tsp. coconut oil in medium size pan and pour in the omelet mixture. Bring to gentle bubbling and carefully fold over to half-moon; cook to a light brown. Serve immediately.

Substitute your favorite vegetables and herbs for more delicious omelet recipes, such as:

Tomato-Basil Omelet:

1/4 cup organic grape or cherry tomatoes, chopped

1/4 cup organic basil leaves, chopped

Pinch cayenne and pink salt

 

Poached Eggs over Baby Spinach

2 fresh organic eggs

2 cups water

2 tablespoons olive oil

Pinch paprika

Pinch pink salt

Poach 2 eggs and place atop fresh baby spinach. Add the olive oil, paprika and pink salt.

If you do not have an egg poacher, you may do the following:

Bring water to a gentle boil and turn down to a simmer in medium size pot. Crack one egg into a small bowl or cup and bring very close to heated water, pouring the egg in very slowly and gently so as not to break the yolk. You may use a spoon to bring the egg white closer to its egg yolk for appearance. Do the same with the second egg. Turn off heat and cover to stand for 4 minutes. Remove eggs with a slotted spoon.

Most importantly, I believe that a GMO-free gluten-free lifestyle promotes lean body weight, accelerated metabolism, mental clarity and abundant energy. As a practical suggestion, if you find the following recipes seem too difficult to incorporate into your lifestyle, my suggestion is simply this: Become familiar with the GMO-free foods mentioned in this book, and keep abreast of any new GMO foods being introduced into the food market so you can avoid them.
