 Below are listed three major health sources that report on the serious dangers surrounding the consumption of genetically modified foods or GMOs. Dr. Michael Wald has been asked to comment on these studies in the media. His responses are below and the links to the articles he comments on are included for your review. In short, European countries and others are calling for a ban on GMOs and report their serious concerns over the detrimental health effects of GMOs.

 Also, according to this report, France and other European countries are banning GMOs. Why do you think the US is lagging behind the global community in this important issue?

Dr. Wald’s response:

Once again, another clear example of the United States lack of serious scientific consideration of the many potential dangers of GMOs. There are simply too many unanswered health issues and I predict these will continue to mount over the years of GMO exposure. The reason that France and other European countries are banning GMOs is because they are not blinded by financial and other special interests. Simply put, corrupt influences in the US have positioned every single person in the US as a lab rat.  We are being fed experimental GMO toxic food products to see what happens. In the meantime, the GMO seed manufacturers are becoming rich beyond all measure as Americans become sicker and sicker over time. The consumption of GMOs will often result in health problems that look like other health problems including cancers, diabetes, infertility, inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis, chronic fatigue and dozens of health problems. Perhaps the GMO industry surmised this early in their efforts to monopolize the food industry – said differently, they may have known that the health issues potentially caused by GMOs would pass for health issues caused by the aging process, a generally poor diet, and other lifestyle and genetic factors.

One of the reports says that Russia’s decision was based on the French study that linked tumors with GMOs. Here is a link to that story.

Dr. Wald’s response:

This classic rat study certainly should raise eyebrows causing great concern over the safety of GMOs.  The rats were fed GMO food and they developed tumors at a much higher rate than they normally would have. This study clearly shows serious health dangers including large tumors of the liver and kidneys. My research has exposed many more health issues as outlined in my upcoming book Frankenfoods – Controversy, Lies & Your Health.

Live in the Now just did a story on how a respected scientific journal retracted the French study after they hired an ex-Monsanto employee to the post of “Associate Editor of Biotechnology”. Since that ties in to my present article, could you kind of weigh in on this issue? The public trusts medical journals, but now it seems Monsanto is determining what studies are published in the Journal of Food and Chemical Toxicology.

Dr. Wald’s response:

Corruption and bias has long undermined the very foundation of scientific research and precedence.  Board members of the Journal of the American Medical Association and other medical journals must be reviewed.  I would go as far as to say that virtually all medical journals are bought or used extensively by Big Pharma such as GMO seed manufacturers and drug companies. Board members of scientific journals often hold obvious conflict of interest as they are also board members of the very drug and biotech companies whose products they are approving. Well paid speaking engagements and gifts are examples of how the biotech and drug companies bribe board members.
